This fantastic glazed Martaban storage jar is a modern reproduction. Martaban jars were used as storage jars for oil, wine, fruits and, pickles. They were used across South East Asia and got thei name from the Burmese port of Martaban on the Gulf of Pegu.
These decorative jars are decorated with frog handles and are perfect for adding some interest to your garden. They come with wooden tops which should not be used in winter. Beautifully decorated by hand.
Care: cover in winter and empty all water during frosty seasons.
Please note, one of the frogs has a small chip on its chin as evident in the photographs.
